Long-Distance Transport CO₂ Neutral?

Long-Distance Transport CO₂ Neutral?

Covering long distances with electric trucks in test drives is one thing. Wanting to regularly drive a route of over 500 kilometres fully electrically is quite another. Transpartner Logistics is up for the challenge anyway.

The batteries are charged!

What had been planned for a long time, was implemented with great excitement on 20 March 2024.

Yes, we did it!

550KM in long-distance transport with a fully electric truck, without a single charging stop. Sounds crazy, and it is! After a long and intensive preparation phase with our colleagues, we completed the first test drive together with the Swiss manufacturer Designwerk.
What had been planned in theory for a long time was eventually put into practice. Around 1100 kilometres in just under 24 hours and only one charging stop? We did it!

Starting from Zurich, via Weil am Rhein to Kassel (DE) and back. On time. With the Designwerk tractor unit, equipped with 900 kWh batteries and our trained drivers, nothing stands in the way.

Direct comparison: with a diesel tractor unit, a distance of 1100 km would require around 310 litres of diesel, resulting in CO2 emissions of around 814 KG. An insane amount.

We can now do without that. We are taking the first step and offering the first regular transport services on a full electric basis.

True to the motto; today is tomorrow.

Let’s take the first step together and make the impossible possible.
